Community Systems, Inc. was founded in 1982 for the sole purpose of providing management services to condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations.

Community Systems, Inc. is an independent association management firm. We are not a franchise. This enables us to best represent the Board of Directors’ and Association’s interests and to be the best possible advocate for your Association. We do not manage individual units, nor do we handle any leasing or sales.  We hold the relationship we have with our clients as their Managing Agent in the highest esteem, emphasizing the dedication, loyalty, accountability, and fiduciary responsibility this partnership demands. Community Systems and it staff are fully licensed and bonded. We offer full community association management, financial or other limited management and management or project consulting.

We understand and operate on the premise that individual owners’ investments are dependent on the overall condition of the entire association. We will work with the Board of Directors to provide guidance and experience so the Association may be maintained in a first-class condition.

Since its inception Community Systems has dedicated itself to providing management services to mid-sized community associations. With this goal in mind, it has offered these associations a high level of professional services, usually available to only the larger communities. In order to maintain the superior level of services our clients have grown to expect we have focused on one geographic region: Northwest Washington, D.C. Our intimate knowledge of the D.C. community association industry is a great resource to our clients. Over the years we have opted for slow, steady growth, which has enabled us to build a select portfolio of community associations, while maintaining the high quality of services to our current clients. Over half of the associations we manage have been with us for ten or more years.

Community Systems is a small company. It is therefore easier to add a personal touch to our services than it would be for a larger firm. Community Systems takes pride in its pro-active approach to all aspects of community association management. We put great emphasis on community. All of our efforts are geared toward the enhancement of our client communities. We even named our company after “community”. We are proud of the fact that the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Association Institute named one of the associations we manage “Community Association of the Year.”

We believe in community involvement and are also members of the D.C. Preservation League and the Dupont Circle Citizens Association. We have been enthusiastic sponsors of the Washington D.C. AIDS Walk and the Dupont Circle House Tour for many years. We have been successful in raising funds for organizations such as Whitman-Walker Clinic and Share the Care For Children and recipients of our donations include Garden Resources of Washington, D.C. Curators, and Food & Friends.
